Wenatchee Jail Roster Database
The Wenatchee jail roster is the public booking log for people arrested in Wenatchee and held at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center. Wenatchee is the county seat of Chelan County, and the justice center sits right in town. The Wenatchee Police Department handles city arrests. The Chelan County Sheriff runs the jail. You can search for an inmate by name to check booking details, see charges, or find out if someone is still in custody. This page covers where to search, what the roster shows, and how state law protects your right to see jail booking data.
Wenatchee Jail Roster Overview
Where to Search the Wenatchee Jail Roster
The Chelan County inmate search is the online tool for finding someone booked after a Wenatchee arrest. The system lets you search by name and returns current custody data. Each result shows the booking date, the charges, and whether the person is still held at the Chelan County Regional Justice Center.
The Wenatchee Police Department handles city arrests. The jail keeps the booking log. For the arrest report, contact Wenatchee Police. For the booking record, use the Chelan County inmate search or contact the Chelan County government office directly.
If the person is not on the roster, the booking may still be in progress. There can be a lag between the arrest and the time the name shows up online. Call the justice center to ask about a recent booking.
Wenatchee Police and Arrest Data
The Wenatchee Police Department keeps the arrest file for crimes in the city. The file has the incident report, the officer's account, and the reason for the stop. File a public records request with the city to get a copy. Under RCW 42.56, the Public Records Act, the city must respond within five business days.
The arrest report and the jail roster are two different records. The arrest report explains what happened during the stop. The jail roster logs the booking at the justice center. Put them together and you get the full picture from arrest to custody. Not every arrest leads to a jail booking. Some people are cited and released at the scene.
The Wenatchee Municipal Court handles city ordinance violations and misdemeanors. Felonies go to Chelan County Superior Court. The Odyssey court portal lets you search both by name.
What the Wenatchee Jail Roster Shows
Under RCW 70.48.100, the Chelan County jail must keep a register that is open to the public. The register lists the name of each person held, the hour and date of the booking, the cause, and the hour, date, and manner of release. According to the statute, the following data is public: whether the inmate is in custody, the charges, sentence conditions, scheduled release date, and the court of jurisdiction.
The Chelan County inmate roster is updated every 24 hours. A typical Wenatchee jail roster entry shows:
- Inmate name and age
- Booking date and time
- Charges at intake
- Bail or bond amount
- Scheduled release date if set
- Court of jurisdiction
Medical records, mental health data, and security plans are not part of the public roster. These are sealed and only shared with criminal justice agencies, the courts, or with the person's consent.

Wenatchee Jail Roster Laws
Two laws give you the right to see the Wenatchee jail roster. The first is RCW 70.48.100, the jail register law. It requires every jail in Washington to keep a public log of bookings and releases. The second is RCW 42.56, the Public Records Act. It says anyone can ask for government records without giving a reason.
The agency must reply within five business days. The reply can be the record, a denial, or a time estimate. You do not need to live in Wenatchee. You do not need to be a family member. The law is clear on this point. Most simple lookups are fast.
Note: Chelan County updates its inmate roster every 24 hours, so a very recent booking may not appear online right away.
Custody Alerts and State Tools
The VINE service covers Chelan County. Sign up for free and get alerts by call, text, or email when an inmate is booked, moved, or released. VINE runs around the clock and works for both jail and prison custody.
For state prison data, use the DOC Incarcerated Search. The DOC runs all Washington state prisons under RCW 72.09. For criminal history conviction records, the WATCH service from the State Patrol is the official source. The DOC Search Resources page collects state and federal lookup links in one place.
Are Wenatchee Jail Records Public
The jail register is public. The full inmate file is not. Under RCW 70.48.100, the register must list each booking and release. Medical data, mental health data, and security plans are exempt. The rest of the file is held in confidence. Only criminal justice agencies, the courts, research groups, or the person themselves can access the full file.
The Public Records Act backs up the register law. You can ask for the log at any time, for any reason. Looking up a single person is always allowed. Commercial use of a bulk name list is restricted, but that does not affect individual lookups.
