Kitsap County Jail Facilities
Kitsap County runs three corrections sites. The main jail at 614 Division Street holds both male and female inmates across the usual classification levels. The Work Release Center at the same address runs a minimum-security program for inmates who still work in the community. The Juvenile Detention Center is a separate site with a focus on school and rehab for inmates under 18.

What Is in a Kitsap County Jail Roster Entry
Under RCW 70.48.100, every Washington jail must keep a public register. The Kitsap County jail roster meets that rule. A typical entry includes:
- Inmate name and booking photo
- Booking date and time
- Current charges and cause of booking
- Bond or bail amount
- Housing location
- Next court date
Some data is not in the public roster. Medical records, mental health records, Social Security numbers, and security plans are closed under RCW 42.56. Juvenile records are also closed. If you need any of that, you will need to show a legal right to the file.
The Kitsap County jail roster pulls from the booking system at intake. Intake data includes a photo, fingerprints, a property log, a basic medical screen, and the initial charge list. Only the public parts feed the roster.
Court Cases Tied to a Kitsap County Booking
Pair the Kitsap County jail roster with the Washington Odyssey portal to track the court side. Odyssey covers district and municipal court cases by name. For Superior Court cases, use the Kitsap County Superior Court site. You can match the jail roster entry to the docket and see the next hearing, the attorney of record, and the judge.
Use the DOC Incarcerated Search if the person was moved to a state prison after sentencing. The DOC runs all state prisons under RCW 72.09.
The state DOC Search Resources page is a good one-stop spot with links to state and federal jail roster tools. Bookmark it for follow-up searches when the Kitsap County jail roster comes up empty.
The lead-in to state-level jail roster tools runs through the DOC site.
That tool takes over once the person leaves the county jail for a state facility.
Public Records Requests in Kitsap County
For records that are not on the public Kitsap County jail roster, file a records request with the Sheriff's Office Records Division. Under RCW 42.56, the agency must reply in five business days. The reply may be the record, a denial, or a time estimate. You do not need to give a reason. You do not need to live in the state.
Put the inmate name, the booking number if you have it, and a date range in the request. Send it to the records desk at 614 Division Street, Port Orchard, WA 98366, or use the online form. The Sheriff's Office handles all corrections records under the same process.
Note: Jail medical records are held apart from the rest of the file. Medical record requests go through a separate process with different privacy rules.
